This year has taught me a lot,
A lot about who I am,
Who my sister is,
Who my father is.
This year has taught me about the amount of pressure you can put on someone,
Before they break,
Shatter to pieces.
It has taught me about strength,
Union and overcoming,
Jumping over the obstacles life throws at you,
Conquering the challenges that have been written in my story,
And becoming independent.
This year has been like a roller coaster of emotions,
Testing my abilities to problem solve.
This year has been one heck of a ride.
It helped me to reflect and grow,
It has tested my patience,
My intelligence
My stability.
This year has tried to throw me out of balance,
Drown my family in a river of bad luck,
But we still made it through,
I would say maybe even miraculously.
