Different Times

Izabela

My mimicking of birds coming from our bathroom window, The fashion style of Barbie if she was a muppet, So many questions asked repeatedly, No one minded. Napping throughout the day, In the playground when I’m awake, Eat, sleep, play, repeat; No one cared. Friendly to everyone, As if they did me no wrong, Imagination taking me further away, Than my brain ever did, No one expected more. A skip so carefree, It could cure depression. A smile so bright, Even the blind could see. When you look at life through rainbow lenses, When you think so rarely and so simply, Life is different. When you don't take offense to so many things, When you think everyone is like you, Times are different. Time has done you no wrong, In fact, YOU have done time wrong.
